Welcome to the Centenary Experience
- Find out about the new incoming president, slated to start in August 2009.
- Read a March 2009 letter from President Schwab about the current economic crisis.

In over 15 years here I have watched the Centenary Experience grow in ways that make this campus community an exciting place for learning. Our faculty model the liberal arts as they teach and produce high-quality scholarship (often collaborating with students), integrating knowledge across the disciplines. Our administrators and staff are devoted to leadership on campus and throughout the community. But our students, whose varied backgrounds provide a rich and stimulating diversity of cultures, are what really make the Centenary Experience.
Centenary College, in both its physical and digital forms, responds to our changing culture while maintaining our strong liberal arts tradition. We invite you to tour our updated classrooms and laboratories, delve into the print and digital research tools at Magale Library, view art at Meadows Museum, hear a concert sponsored by the Hurley School of Music, worship at Brown Chapel, watch a performance at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse, cheer for our athletes at the Gold Dome and other fields, enjoy the azaleas in our gardens. Know that we stand on one foundation: to plant deep roots of scholarship and service as we together pursue excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.
Students of the liberal arts can carry their passion for learning and earnest desire to explore ideas into their world, promoting ethical scholarship, compassionate service, and innovative thinking. Centenary students and alumni create these kinds of experiences on our campus and across the globe.
Come explore the unfamiliar, invent your future, and connect with us. We invite you to join us at Centenary, a Methodist tradition since 1825.
Sincerely,
Kenneth L. Schwab
