Dr. Chad Fulwider is an associate professor of history. He received his B.A. in European History from East Tennessee State University, his M.A. in European History and Jewish Identities from Florida International University, and his Ph.D. in Modern European History from Emory University in Atlanta. He is currently teaching advanced courses in European History and a course addressing the history of modern terrorism.

Professor Fulwider joined the Centenary Faculty in 2009. His research interests include nationalism, ethnic minorities, youth movements, and German immigration during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Dr. Fulwider's dissertation examines German propaganda in the United States during the First World War. He has written on the subject of "revolutions" during WWI and on the clandestine German film industry in the United States. His latest book is German Propaganda and U.S. Neutrality in World War I published in 2015. He is currently working on a project examining West German foreign diplomacy during the 1980s.
