Advanced Placement
Centenary participates in the Advanced Placement program of the College Entrance Examination Board. Advanced Placement credit will not be given for scores below 3. Advanced Placement and departmental examinations may not exceed forty hours, no more than twenty-four of which may be from each category. The following departmental guidelines have been established:

2 Students with at least two years of a foreign language in high school or competence in a foreign language for other reasons are required to demonstrate their level of proficiency through examination prior to enrolling in a foreign language course or during the first week of classes. Students may receive from 4 to 14 hours of credit (101, 102; 201, 202) for examinations in French, ||German, or Spanish administered during fall orientation by the Department of Ancient and Modern Languages. Students who submit foreign language AP scores are exempt from this examination.
3 Only Advanced Placement TEST C will be accepted.
International Baccaularate
Centenary recognizes the International Baccalaurate program and awards credit for Higher Level examination scores of 5 or greater.
