1966

Helen Giessen Guenter, Monticello, AR, was recently selected to receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Arkansas Library Association.

1996

Poppy Moon, Tuscaloosa, AL, currently works as an elementary school counselor at Myrtlewood Elementary in Fosters, AL and teaches on adjunct faculty at the University of West Alabama. She is also an author, illustrator, and creator of guidance books and games for Youthlight, Inc., one of the premier publishing houses of counseling related materials in the nation. Several recent publications include Operation: Breaking the Boy Code and it’s sister book, Operation: Breaking the Girl Code, How to be a Bully – Not!, Snoots Toots! A Kid’s Game of Manners and Empathy (which was selected as a Dr. Toy Best Games in 2010), Kicky the Mean Chick and Other Plucky Tales, The Drama Llama, and Let’s Make Friends. Currently she is illustrating The Big Red Bird and the Red Feather Game and Brad the Shark.

Dr. Moon’s first guidance DVD, Good Friends, Bad Friends, & How to Know the Difference was released in November 2012 through her jointly owned production company, Out of this World Productions.

Dr. Moon is excited to be keynoting at the upcoming Innovative Strategies in Counseling Conference in 2013 in Atlanta.

2000

Ashley Hunter, Austin, TX, launched a new company earlier this year. Hill Country Bike and Wine is a guided wine tour in the Texas Hill Country. You can find them on facebook at www.facebook.com/hillcountrybw.

2004

Kristin Ballard Holland, Rogers, AR, is working as an Event Planner at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR. She has recently worked with Museum sponsors GE and Unilever on their 2012 holiday parties, as well as Arkansas Children's Hospital for continuing education courses.

2006

Mary Chaney Gregory, Tulsa, OK, is now the Development Assistant at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tulsa.

2009

Kate Buchanan, Austin, TX, graduated from Sotheby's Institute of Art last May with a Master's in Fine and Decorative Art. She is currently working for Christie's, the art auction house in the Interiors department.
