Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Kick Off New Alumni Chapters

What are Alumni Chapters? Geographic Chapters are formed when a group of alumni who live and work in the same city or region choose to organize themselves into a formal group. An Executive Committee with a slate of officers including president, vice-president, and secretary governs each chapter. The purpose of Alumni Chapters is to provide opportunities for alumni to stay connected to their classmates and to their alma mater in ways that are mutually beneficial. Members get together regularly for social occasions, networking, and continuing education forums. Members also participate in activities that support Centenary College in the areas of student recruitment, career networking, mentoring, and fundraising.

All Baton Rouge and New Orleans area alumni will soon receive an invitation to special kick-off receptions being planned in each city for next month!

If you are interested in taking an active role in your new alumni chapter please contact the chapter president: In Baton Rouge, e-mail Beth Bonner ‘99. In New Orleans, e-mail: Lauren McKnight '01.
