South Louisiana Chapter Hosts 2nd Annual Alumni Tailgate Party

Centenary Football — Undefeated since 1948! In celebration of this fun fact and football season, the South Louisiana Chapter of the Centenary Alumni Association invites you to a tailgate party on the LSU campus. Whether you are an LSU fan, a Tulane fan, a Centenary fan, or just a fan of tailgate parties, you are welcome to join in the festivities on Saturday, September 23, 2006.
Your Gift Counts!
Help Centenary reach its goal of raising the alumni participation rate to 25 percent. Contributions of any size are very helpful, as your gift will count in two important ways:

1. By supporting the Great Teachers and Scholars Fund, you help Centenary to continue competing for the brightest students and attracting and retaining superior faculty. This in turn helps the College maintain the strong reputation its alumni appreciate and enjoy in their professional and personal lives.
2. The larger the percentage of alumni participation the better the chances of acquiring grant dollars. Important financial support comes from organizations that base funding decisions to a great extent on the level of support given by alumni—those individuals who have directly benefited from the institution. Consider this: If a College’s own alumni are not willing to support their alma mater, then why should an outside organization support it? They look at the overall percentage!
Grants are necessary for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of academic programs, equipment, and campus facilities. Help get our percentage up and show that Centenary is just as valued by its alumni as other colleges that enjoy very large percentages of alumni support. Please make an online gift now. Together alumni can and do make a difference in Centenary’s future!
Shreveport-Bossier Alumni Community Outreach Project
Join the team and help Centenary make a difference in the local community!
