Songs, Turkeys, and Shoppers, Oh My!
As promised, here are some pictures from the choir banquet after Rhapsody. Both performances went really well and I was so excited to see the audience so full!! Thanks to all who came!

Well I must say, I loved my Thanksgiving break. It was good to see some old friends, eat amazing food, and do some serious shopping. I must admit though, the shopping part got pretty vicious. My mom decided she wanted to stop by a home accents store one night. Apparently it was "ladies night" at the store and everything was 25% off. Well, as you can imagine, the warehouse-sized store was FILLED with women running around, trying to grab what they wanted before someone else did. I feared for my life. It was like a scene out of a Christmas movie, where people shop like madmen. Never again will I go to ladies night. Never.
I had a similar experience later at the outlet mall in Gonzales. My cousins wanted to go to Aeropostale when it opened at 12:00 for Black Friday. I decided to go along, thinking it would be just a nice little shopping trip, assuming there would be a crowd, but not too much of one. I was wrong. Very wrong. A line started forming outside the store an hour before they opened and was halfway down the strip by the time 12:00 came around. Once everyone was inside it was total chaos. Clothes flying, girls yelling to their moms, and workers frantically trying to be accommodating. I took pictures of this one.

The rest of my break was pretty relaxing. I went down to Mandeville and got to catch up with my friends from high school. I also got to see my high school play in the quarter-finals, which hasn't happened in seven or eight years, so that was really exciting!

It was definitely an awesome break. But strangely enough, I wasn't too sad to come back to school. I guess it's been good to have something to do all the time again! And I've certainly been busy in the two days I've been back. Classes moving as quickly as ever, and CHOR, Camerata, and Chorale are all preparing for Christmas concerts. Rehearsals and homework are my main activities again! But there are only 3 weeks left in the semester. It's weird knowing that I'm almost done with my first semester of college. Definitely a new feeling. I'm ready for it to be over though. My schedule next semester is going to be a lot less time consuming than this one has been, and I can't wait for that to start.
Now it's time for me to finish up some homework. I've got a test in Music Theory, a presentation in FYE, and I've got to finish reading Henry V for English 101. It's going to be a long night!
I definitely just noticed that one of Michelle's blogs is similarly titled to mine... Oops. There goes my originality!
