Is It Spring Yet?
Shreveport is killing me with the recent weather changes. We keep having spots of perfect weather, then a good week of gross rainy and cold weather. I think it just needs to be spring now. I got used to Mandeville's climate, and it's definitely spring there by now. So I believe that Shrevport should follow suit. I'm going to bring that up with the weather man.
And I'm completely joking about that last statement. I forget that when people read something like a blog, it's hard to figure out what tone the writer is taking. I'd rather not have everyone thinking that I really do believe that the weather man controls the weather!
In other news, despite the weather, Centenary is having their Spring Fling festivities this week! I haven't attended any of them yet, though. I've been sick for a week or so. But there are definitely some things on the list that I'd like to attend! For example, Build-A-Bear is coming to the SUB tomorrow afternoon. That sounds pretty fun. And there's always the Annual Miss-ter Centenary Pageant. That's a definite on my list! And it concludes on Friday night with Casino Night over in Kilpatrick. I remember going to that last year while I was on campus for Scholar's Weekend. A friend of mine from Mandeville is coming to visit me for the weekend, so I'm probably going to kick off our time together with Casino Night.
I keep forgetting that aside from it being Spring Fling week, it's also midterms week. I only have three, thankfully. I took one yesterday morning, then spent the day in bed trying to be less sick. It didn't really work. I saw a doctor this morning, got some fun medicine (there's nothing fun about it), and missed my second midterm. But thankfully, my professor was very understanding and is letting me make it up. The third is a take-home exam. So I can take it on my own time, which is both good and bad. Good, because I can cram a lot right before, bad because I forget that it's there and that I have to take it before tomorrow at 3:00.
On that note, I'm going to study for that midterm and hopefully take it sometime tonight. Sorry there weren't any pictures in this one, my camera is broken. But I'll try to get some soon! Maybe I'll get lucky and get a new camera for my birthday that's next Thursday!!! Yes, I'm very excited about that. I know 19 isn't really a big birthday or anything, but I'm still looking forward to it! Anyway. Studying. Right. Gotta go do that.
