Back in the Groove of Things!

Hey everyone!

School has officially started and I have officially started my senior year of college....AHHHH!! Three years have gone by so fast that I can hardly believe it. On my drive from Colorado to Centenary I was thinking about my time at Centenary and reminiscing about everything that I have experienced. A new culture, new friends, amazing sisterhood, and a place that I can truly call home. Centenary has given so much to me that I can hardly explain it in words! But, enough of all the sentimental stuff, I'll update you with what has been going on in my life!

As soon as I got to Centenary sorority recruitment started up and the next two weeks of my life were going to be dedicated to Zeta Tau Alpha. Recruitment is by far one of my most favorite times of year because first and foremost I get to hang out with an amazing group of women!

Recruitment was kicked off with a Greek Block Party in which all Greek organizations on campus attended, as well as potential new members. There was great food, a great band, and those blow-up giant slides and a bungee thing that was an absolute blast! Next there was a Panhellenic mixer in which all women going through recruitment attended and Natalie Daniels (the Chi Omega president) and I (pictured below) delivered an amazing speech on what being in a sorority has meant to us.

Next all of the official parties began, starting with "Philanthropy Night", "Skit Night", "Preference Night", and finally "Bid Day"! Bid Day is so much fun because the sororities on campus invite amazing new members into their house. Recruitment week is very much a blur and I was extremely tired after it but it was all worth it in the end!

Now that recruitment is over it is time to focus on the real reason why I am here...school! I'll update you guys on all the exciting things going on at Centenary next time!

See ya!
