Pumpkin Carving: 101

Before I dive into my super exciting pumpkin carving competition I'll update you on my much needed Fall Break. I decided not to go home because all my friends from home were still in school and the mountains aren't quite open yet for the public to ski on. So I headed on my long journey to Bossier City (about 15 minutes away) to my grandparent's house. After talking with my grandmother we decided that we should go on an adventure, so we headed to Little Rock to visit the President Clinton Library! This was quite an adventure considering I do not have the best sense of direction and some how Granny and I ended up in North Little Rock about 20 miles away from where we were supposed to be! Little Rock is sooo confusing!

Finally we found our hotel and headed to the mall to do some shopping before getting some dinner and heading to bed to get some rest for the big day ahead! We woke up the next day, had breakfast, and headed to the Clinton Library. We had much better luck this time and only had to make one u-turn to get to our final destination, which is probably an all-time record for the two of us. The Clinton Library was absolutely amazing and I would definitely encourage everyone to visit it even if you are not particularly fond on Bill Clinton. There is so much history and fun facts about the White House as well as special exhibits and gifts that President Clinton received from other countries and supporters during his time in office.

After visiting the library I met up with my friend Emily Evans who gradated from Centenary two years ago. She goes to graduate school at Pepperdine University and was in town for her break. It was so good to see her, we caught up on friends and life and it was awesome to see her! After eating lunch with Emily, Granny and I hit the road to head back to Bossier City. On our way back we stopped at President Clinton's childhood home and Burge's which has the most amazing milkshakes I have ever had in my entire life!

Hanging out with my grandmother was alot of fun and we really did have a great time together, despite the fact that neither one of us really has an amazing sense of direction. Once we got back to Bossier, we both took some time to relax before I started on my mounds of homework!

Halloween is just around the corner and my friends Cori and Lindsey had a pumpkin carving party at their house, check out some of our amazing carvings!
