We've Got Spirit..
This past weekend, I went to Lafayette with Shep and Ezell to hang out. On Friday night we just chilled out because we were so tired from the week of school, so we got some sleep. Then on Saturday we drove to Baton Rouge to tailgate for the LSU game. Let me just say, that I had only been to Baton Rouge once and this was my first time at LSU. What an experience!! I had a blast tailgating, meeting new people, as well as seeing some of my friends that I went to high school with. But the best part of the trip, was realizing that I really really REALLY want to help increase school spirit at Centenary. Granted, LSU is way bigger than us, but I was really impressed with the support that they received from the community, Alumni, and students.

Fortunately for us it's basketball season so this is a really good chance to go to the games and support our Ladies and Gents. It's kind of a bummer that a lot of their games are during our Thanksgiving and Christmas break, but they play tons of games so we have plenty of opportunities to get out there and yell for our team. Now, I'm not just saying that the only team we need to support is Basketball! In the spring I would encourage everyone to go to the baseball and softball games, as well as tennis matches. I speak from experience that it is a LOT more fun to play, when you have people watching and yelling for you!

Ok, I'm off my school spirit soap box for now! Basically the weekend was amazing. Lafayette was a blast, especially on Saturday night when we went out. I never knew that the Waffle House at 2 a.m. could be so exciting!
Now I'm back to the school grind with two tests and two papers due this week as well as various other events such as the PBL fundraiser, Jr. Class dinner (which was awesome, thanks SGA senators), and tennis practice. Sorry to the people I keep blowing off because school is waaaaay more fun than you are! (Just kidding).
Oh well, after all that work and no sleep, its no school for a whole week! I'm going home to F-wood so I'm pretty excited. I hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
Drive Safe,
Jenn

I had never seen anything like this before in my life.. in case you can't tell LSU is shaved into the dog's hair!
