How We Do Homecoming!!!

Even though I blogged a few days ago, I thought I would do a mid-week blog just to talk about all the cool homecoming stuff that's been going on, that I have been to! (Keep in mind there are way more events that I did not even make it to!)

Sunday night they had the kick-off party in the Fitness Center. They had the place decked out with Mardi Gras decorations where they served dinner and had a band, dancing contests, hula hoop contests, limbo, an inflatable obstacle course (my fav. part!) and other fun stuff. The prize for the contests was King Cake, who doesn't love that stuff?! They also gave out the Homecoming t-shirt, which is long sleeve and very cute! People have been wearing them all week!

Monday there were a few things like window painting in the caf, but the only event I made it to was the girls' basketball game. We played Oral Roberts and lost :(, but it was fun b/c there was a great turnout. At halftime, Up til Dawn did their jump-rope fundraiser where contestants see who can keep jumping the full five minutes. Everyone is cheering on their friends or groups and it's awesome to watch.

Tuesday night I went to the comedian Retta. She has been in the movie Slackers (i think) and was known for a few other things, i don't really remember! But she was pretty funny.

Wednesday there were a few things on campus like lunch or something that I couldn't go to because I have ridiculous amounts of class on Wednesday. Wednesday night was also the faculty vs. students kickball game. I think there were two games, but I know for sure that the students won at least one. It is really fun to watch your teachers out there on the field kicking the ball and running!

Tonight is the the basketball game and I'm so torn on what to do! I LOVE The Office and Grey's Anatomy... but i also LOVE watching the basketball games, and they are occurring at the same time! I know that I sound ridiculous, but I don't care! I'll most likely go to the basketball game b/c it's homecoming and I'm all about school spirit.

Anyway, sorry this is so long and there are no pics, but I just wanted to talk a little bit about how we roll over here for homecoming!

Deuce Deuce,

Jenn
