Livin' La Vida Loca!

Yes, I did use a Ricky Martin Song for a title!

So much has been going on at Centenary College, it's crazy!

First off, I would like to extend an apology to any senators of SGA that felt offended by my previous blog. Shall we just agree to disagree? Anyway, that being said, I have much to report!

It's been so long I can't really go in any sort of order, so I'll just throw it all out there.

The tennis team (men's and women's) went to Grambling two weekends ago for a match, and sadly the women's team lost, but I won both singles and doubles so I was super excited! Then the Monday after that we played SFA here at home, and lost. However, I was very happy with the way that I played so I'm somewhat ok with the loss on my record.

Then it was Tuesday! This was the most exciting day of the whole week! It was time for the Tailgate Part Deux! Long story short, we got there at about 4:00 to start cooking and hang out before the Centenary v. LSU baseball game at Fairground Field. People came until about 7:00, got their free tickets and just hung out and ate. All in all I would say it was a wonderful success! About 100 people showed up and people said they had a great time, so I'm very happy! We ended up losing the game by one (2-1), but it was still a blast! Unfortunately for me, I had two tests the next day, so I had to stay up late and study. : ( However, I actually did well on my econ test, which is pretty much a first for me so it was well worth it! All these pictures are from the tail gate. The painted men picture, yeah that's some of our basketball players dancing for the $25 gift card to best buy for best outfit!

The rest of the week was pretty low key. I had to leave practice on Thursday because my arm is killing me, so that was not good. But I got to play on Friday, which ROCKED because that's fun friday! We had two girl recruits come to check us out, so Friday night we hung out with them and showed them how AMAZING Centenary life is! Saturday I was basically a bum for most of the morning, but then I felt the need to play some tennis. I was going to play with my doubles partner, but she stood me up, (Thanks Lindsay! haha yeah, not going to forget it! J/K). So I ended up playing with my neighbor Champ. Then we decided to work out, and he acted as my trainer and now it has hurt to walk for the past two days! I guess that's good because apparently I need strong legs to travel to Nicaragua!

That leads me to the next AWESOME part of my life! MAY MODULE!!!!!!!! I'm going to Nicaragua for mine, and the closer it gets, the more excited I am! There is about 13 students, and 2 amazing teachers. We go for two weeks and live the life! They say you need strong legs so when we go hiking and such, like on a volcano or something, if you need balance you shouldn't use your arms because you might grab something dangerous, like an eyelash viper! I'm also excited because I'll get to use some of that spanish I've been learning for eight years!

That's about it for now, I have two tennis matches this weekend on Saturday and Sunday so I'll be sure to let everyone know how they go!

Oh yeah, and it's Easter candy season so I suggest that if you have never had Cadbury mini eggs, you go immediately to the nearest store and purchase them. They're out of the world good!

P.S. I need to make a correction to all past and future blogs, Shep apparently needs two' p's in it. However, I will continue to only type one for simplicity's sake, but just keep in mind that hypothetically, there are two. : )
