Amazing

It just rained for the first time in my four weeks here and it was amazing. I couldn’t even describe amazing if I tried.

First off, however, I would like to inform you that I didn’t get a chance to do my speech. I’m not fully bothered, though, because I prepared anyway and now know a lot more about my subject and that makes me happy.

Now, I woke up around 2 pm yesterday afternoon and a few of us decided to take a trip to Krispy Kreme. That was yesterday’s breakfast. 4 donuts, 1 coffee, and 1 chocolate milk. Breakfast.

At 4:00 it began to rain, nothing big, just some sprinkles. I goofed off for a while waiting for the choir kids to finish their first concert, which sadly I did not attend. After I met up with them, we went to Applebee’s and I had some fantastic salmon. While we were eating the rain outside began to come down harder and harder.

So we ran to our cars in the rain. We came back to Cline and so many random people came up to hug me. The hugs were the type that people give you just to make you insanely wet. It was raining so hard. Then people started screaming about going to Jones-Rice field to play Ultimate Frisbee in the mud. Chris, Meagan, and I lost our shoes and all of our water-sensitive things and ran to the other side of campus. There were about thirteen of us out there playing Ultimate Frisbee, which was my first time. Apparently, one throws the Frisbee to other members on his/her team. The person that catches it stops and they throw the Frisbee until it eventually gets thrown to someone in the end zone. Our team was horrible. I made our only “touchdown,” which is pretty pathetic, because my athletic skills (esp. without glasses) are nonexistent. But I think we all just had an amazing time sliding around in the mud. Splashing in the rain.

After we got back and showered I did some homework in the Fishbowl. Around 3:30 am, I left the Fishbowl and found five individuals who were throwing coins into the fountain and making secret wishes. I joined them in honor of the excellent night and wished that – oh wait… I can't tell you that... it's a secret.

Cheers,
