This Was the Wednesday Night that Counted
Let me just say "Jason Anderson". Wow. It was… well I’ve already used one title “amazing” so I won’t use that one again. This was the Wednesday night that counted.

-This is Staci and me just after the show.

-This is Jason Anderson and me in "comic" view.

-This is the money that Jason made that night and my stupid grin.
I’m kinda bummed about having to wake up tomorrow at four for work, but this concert helped a lot. Basically KSCL has been promoting Jason Anderson quite heavily for the last few weeks. And tonight at 8 o’clock, Tyler Davis took the stage to open for Jason Anderson. Wow. I had heard that it would be really cool and that Jason was a very intimate performer, but I didn’t really know what to expect.
So it started with getting Jason to come to Shreveport and ended up with him here. How random is that, no? Anyway, my time for my radio show has been changing like mad ever since school started. Last week it was 4-6 on Wednesdays. A couple weeks before that it was at 6-8 on Wednesday. And even before that my show was at 8-10 on Wednesday. So I guess that I’m at least keeping the same day. Well, I came to the conclusion that 8-10 was really the best time. So I’m (with luck) back to that time. Today, however, I didn’t do my show at 8-10, because Jason Anderson was performing at 8-10. So what did I do, because you have to make up a show? I went in at 5 and hung out with Allison until 8. But here’s the amazing part: After talking about random things on the air like pumpkins and lattes, Allison thought we should interview Jason before the show. Great idea. So Jason “the vegetarian” Anderson came up to the studio to answer some questions I jotted down just seconds before.
1. What is our favorite color? –Kelley Green. So yes, I asked him his favorite color. Eventually, however, we got on the subject of music and talked about his favorite bands now (Tilly and the Wall and My Morning Jacket) and his favorite bands of yore (The Beatles) and other things like how his tour was going. Oh, and the “vegetarian” part up there isn’t meant to offend anyone. It was actually really cool, because Allison, Leo (who was also in the booth), and Jason are vegetarians. Alysia and I were a little left out, but it’s cool because we were gnawing on some KFC (only kidding).
So after our lovely interview with Jason we headed down to the main part of the SUB (Student Union Building) and watched Tyler and then Jason perform. Jason was standing on a chair as he asked us all to gather around as close as possible to him. He was jumping around when he began to play. He was crazy acting, but it was really really funny. He got all of us involved in singing and dancing and it was kind of like being at church, but without the whole “church” part.
