Remember Me??
So much has happened in the last month!! It’s crazy. The reasons you are only just hearing about it: I was busy doing all of it and my new computer (yes, my new computer) apparently had a bad hard drive and I was without my computer for a month. It’s sad, feel sorry for me.
I could have written a blog without a personal computer and I tried multiple times, but let’s face it…a blog without pictures is a letter. And who reads letters anymore? What? Oh…I was just informed that people still read letters…so, well now I know.
So since the last time I blogged, Easter happened, Spring Break happened, the Big Event Happened, Preview Weekend happened, the TKE Toga Party happened, and Chi-Omega Formal happened…oh and apparently my English grammar getting worse happened.
Over Easter break I hung out with Centenary people and Lafayette people and Centenary people from Lafayette– it was a riot. We celebrated my friend Oscar’s birthday and I made him a homemade cake that was pretty cute if I do say so myself.
How cute is the cake!

My family went to Arkansas for Easter weekend and we stayed in cabins near Mount Ida Arkansas…never heard of it? Don’t feel bad I’m still not wholly sure it existed. A couple times when we were passing through, I blinked too long and missed the whole city. Unless there are any perspective students from Mount Ida—in that case it was the quaintest little town I ever did see!!

Now the first annual Big Event, for those of you who don’t know, was tons of fun –and hard work. Oh and there were tons of poison ivy plants, though I didn’t find out I had it until a week later. We (about 300 Centenary students, faculty, and staff) went into the Highland Neighborhood and worked on different projects in different organizational groups. I was with one of the two CLC (Christian Leadership Center) teams. Ben Crismon and I built a set of stairs…okay well Ben built them but I measured stuff and nailed stuff with the hammer and I stood on the wood that needed to be cut and what not. So I mean in essence, I built them too . Our groups were the last to finish but we still had a great time!

Preview Weekend was a whole lot of fun! It was my first event as a new Ambassador and I was part of Team Red Hot!! The other ambassadors in my group were Rebekah Perkins and Jared Ward—Rebekah made our fantastic poster with fire and hot tamales. Our group really didn’t win the competitions…we were more concerned with the overall experience :)
Part of Preview Weekend was a Ben Folds Concert. Now let me preface this saying I had only heard one Ben Folds song before going into the concert. It was probably the best show and best concert I have ever been to! He is not only an amazing piano player and performer but he is entertaining. He sang back to back songs for two straight hours. It was amazing! Kudos to Fighting Squirrel Productions!

The TKE Toga party was pretty fun as any TKE party is, and it was extra fun for me because my good friend Ainslee from Lafayette came in for the weekend to visit me and hang out. While here, she had her first Humphrey and it completely changed her life. If you haven’t had one before, you should go RIGHT NOW!! Counter Culture—its so yum. That’s not their slogan or anything but I think it should be.

Two of My Favorite People!! (MMM)

Chi-Omega Formal was this past weekend and it was soooo much fun! Thanks to my BFF Nicole Popp for inviting me as her date. All the Chi-O ladies looked so classy and they were just super fun.

On a more serious note: My prayers, thoughts, and heart are with my Teurlings Family this week. Our Assistant Principle, Mrs. Terri Baudier, died very unexpectedly this past Friday night. To the Baudier Family and the Teurlings Community, you are in all of our prayers and thoughts. We all love you and we are here.
