My weekend
Friday night was filled with going and supporting the volleyball team, who were in a tournament, and the soccer team who was playing their second game of their season. I am on the swim team here at Centenary, and as a team we decided to paint our chest and go cheer on our friends. Some of the freshman guys wore their Speedos — it was hilarious. The volleyball team lost their game at 7pm, but won their game earlier that day. The soccer team won their game 2-0. One out of two victories isn't bad for the night. Both games were exciting, and we got some laughs out of our craziness.

Saturday morning I woke up and drove to Dallas for the day to see my family. My grandma is at home for the month, and she is leaving next weekend, so it was a good time to see her before training for swimming started up on Saturdays. Once we start training hard we aren’t really allowed to go home on the weekends. When I got home I watched college football all day with my dad and visited with my family. We had a big cook out with some family friends that I grew up with, steaks and chicken are the best — I love grilled foods.
Sunday morning, back to Shreveport just in time to see the greeks “run down the hill.” This is a tradition in which each fraternity/sorority's new pledges or rushes (I’m not sure of the lingo) run down the hill by the library towards there new “families.” It is a tradition that we have gone to support the past couple of years. Everyone cheers for each other and the support system that they have is great. I myself am not affiliated with the greek system here at Centenary, but I admire what they do. Tomorrow we have the day off of school which is nice so we will get to relax some, and I will be able to catch up on some sleep.
