Open House/GF's b-day
This weekend was hectic, like usual. To start it off, Saturday morning I woke up for normal practice, which was outdoors and was freezing! We first did abs, palates, and ran for a while. Next, we had to swim which at first, it was really cold, but then as practice went on, it got fine because my body temperature got hot. Our main set was 30x 200’s. For the people that don’t understand what that means; a 200 is 4 laps in an Olympic size pool (which we were training in that morning). So for just that set we did 120 laps and we did probably another 20 of warm up/ warm down. I was very exhausted after this.
Open House was this weekend, and since I am an ambassador, I had responsibilities with that. I had the afternoon session. Lunch with all the prospective students began at high noon. We had lunch for an hour and during that we (the ambassadors) go around and talk to prospective students and their families. After lunch we headed to the student panel where the students could ask us about anything that they had questions about. I told them about the blog so if any of you guys are reading, I want to SHOUT OUT to you guys and say that it was great having you on campus. After the panel I took a group of students and their families on a full campus tour. Finally the day ended up with the admissions/financial aid talk.
After the Open House I went and hung out with my girlfriend Rebekah and her family - it was Rebekah's 21st birthday. We went to the Faces of Katrina exhibit at the Art Space. After that, to the Boardwalk where the girls enjoyed going to clothing stores (Gap, Banana Republic, Papaya, etc.) while the guys went to the Bass Pro Shop. The night concluded with us going out to the finest steak house in town - Superiors. I got a steak, which is my favorite food. The steak was amazing and we got all of these sides and appetizers to go with it. Rebekah’s family spoiled us this weekend. Then we came back and hung out the rest of the night.
Peace
