Basketball Game this Weekend
The Centenary men’s basketball team will be hosting Nicholls State this weekend for a basketball game. In an effort to create more school spirit myself along with various other friends from different organizations are trying to create a “crazy fan group.” On Saturday we decided that we would like to tailgate before the game out by the Gold dome. We will head out there at around 12 and the game starts at 2:00. Activities will include cooking out with friends, possible frisbee or football, music, and all out fun! If you are in the area come by and support the Gents. Hopefully this will be a fun thing for all to attend. The Centenary gents are currently 2-4 on the year. Current students, if you are reading this, please come out to have fun and support your team!
Over thanksgiving break I enjoyed lots of time with my family. We had to stay a little bit longer than everyone for swimming which was a lot of fun. During the thanksgiving break I began setting up the Christmas lights. My mom refers to me around Christmas time as 'Chevy Chase' from the movie 'Christmas Vacation'. I love to put lights up everywhere. During this time, my sister is unable to use her outlets in her room due to the fact that they are hooked up to gfi. She really doesn’t like that she is unable to use them, but I think it’s funny. Sometimes she forgets and plugs something in, and it shuts down all the outdoor lights.
On the subject of swimming, the Men’s team was recently ranked 23rd in the nation in the Mid-major poll from Collegeswimming.com. We are really excited about it - it's the first time that we have ever been ranked.
