Holiday from Real

I decided to follow the trend of using movie/song titles for our blogs so if you are cool enough, you will know where it came from. I have to say...I LOVE Christmas break. It is semester break, so there was absolutely no schoolwork, I don't really have a job so there was no real work and it was wonderful. I was originally supposed to go to Yellowstone to snowmobile but ended up backing out at the last minute. Break was basically spent catching up with old friends (and new ones for that matter) and catching up on all the things (like sleep!) that were pushed aside when finals were going on.

These are my siblings. We took about twelve of these, but finally got it right.

I have no shame. This is me showing how excited I was to take my little and her friends (who by default are my friends) rolling.

Also like Jenn (two "n's" are you excited??) I am a little worried about this semester. I am in Early Christian Lit, Religion and Culture, World Religions, History of the US since 1877, and English, which basically adds up to a lot of papers and even more reading. It has been four days and I feel swamped already! I really enjoy all my classes though so at least when I'm reading and writing it concerns things I care about. Also exciting...remember my brother Jacob? (If not, read "Calculus and Religion") He is in two of my classes! Good news is I live with my group partner/study buddy/note copier. Bad news is we sit next to each other so our energy levels determine how much I pay attention. If we are both really hyper (which is often) we laugh and write our own notes in addition to the lecture ones. We tried to convince the professors to let us take joint tests, but to no avail.

Ah well, I am sure this semester will bring plenty of crazy stories to tell and I promise I will write often. And hey! Can't you guys send us e-mails at ?? Tell us what you want to read about...this could be fun.

Yours,

Rach
