Uhhh...Shop Class
So, I am in this class, and its called Technical Production. I like to refer to it as "shop class." It’s a fun class with really cool people in it, there is only one minor problem: we have to build stuff. The other day in class our Professor (Don Hooper - he's pretty awesome) was talking about what we were doing for the rest of the week and he told us to bring our welding clothes for Friday.
I quickly raised my hand and asked, "So does everybody have to weld?"
Don responded with, "Oh class, I think Ms. Perkins is volunteering to go first, yes of course little Perky you can start the class off on Friday."
I immediately turned beat red. For the rest of the class he proceeded to tell us about how loud welding is, and how you can't do it with out getting burned. Needless to say I am pretty stoked about Friday at 1pm. I wll fill yall in next week on how it goes.

On a happier note, last night was Big Sis, Little Sis Revealing. It's when the new members find out who their Big Sis in the sorority is. Its pretty awesome. My little sis Betsy got her 'little' last night, so that means I am a Grandma. My 'grand little' is Hannah Moore and she is fabulous, and she loves Diet Coke which is a requirement for our fam. We went to IHOP after the ceremony and Hannah and I split chocolate chip pancakes. They were scrumptious.

My sister is coming in town this weekend to visit and I am way excited. I think we are going to need to get manicures and pedicures probably.
Saturday is the swim meet and my boyfriend, Ross and my little Betsy are on Team White. So I will be there with signs for sure!!!
Anyhow, the beginning of the week was pretty stressful but it is winding down. After Up 'til Dawn on the Lawn tonight I will be home free. It is going to be fun though, we are grilling out on the Quad to kick off a new year of Up 'til Dawn. UTD is a year long campaign to raise money for St. Jude Research Hospital. I am on the EC and it is a lot of work but definitely worthwhile. I got to go to the Hospital this summer and meet the amazing kids there and now I am more invested in the program than ever.
Well, I am so ready for the weekend and hope yall have a great one too!
