Upset of the Season

Hey guys!

Ok, so I know this is a little late but here it goes.

Wednesday night was amazing! We had the Flag Football Intramural Championship. We played the Softball team. They are so hard core. They had beaten us the two previous times we had played them by a huge margin. (ex: 32-0)

We went into halftime tied 0-0 and we were pumped. (Sidebar - We are the two-time defending champions...we were looking for a Three-peat.) So all the action happened in the 2nd half.

Final score - Chi Omega 7, Softball 6. Of course the talented Brittany Barbee caught the ball in the end zone and then our other superstar Kate Sales ran the ball in for the extra point. Softball scored with about three minutes left in the game and went for two points to win, but our defenese held them. For the next minute and a half we were able to run out the clock. It was amazing!

After the game Amy, Brittany and I went to FCA. A bunch of us went to IHOP. I ate chocolate chip pancakes and laughed a whole lot.

So, just to fill yall in, on the welding situation in Shop Class, on Friday I lucked out and the machine goofed so I didn't have to weld. But on Monday I was not so lucky. But I did it! I conquered it! The first time I was welding a little too fast and Don Hooper called me a "rabbit." Don't ask me why. Then the next two tries I slowed down and it was actaully pretty cool. Katie Carpenter was way better at it than me...I am a little bitter, not gonna lie.

Anyhoot, tonight is New Member Retreat and I am pumped. Pretty much all we do is eat a lot and act stupid...both which come really naturally for me.

Before I wrap this up I have two quick shout outs. My first goes to Sam Houston, I hope this blog is acceptable and I apologize for posting late. (ps. You behaved in Design Comm. yesterday and I was proud.)

My second goes to Barrett McGee, I am way excited about Orientation Leadership Team '06 (Aka-The Dream Team) party Saturday night...its about time we hung out!

I hope yall have an awesome weekend!
