Perry and Patty / Make-A-Wish

This weekend was packed out. Friday my parents came in town. We had to go to a banquet for a friend of my dad's. He was being honored for Pastoring his church for 40 years! It was pretty crazy. We had to dress up and mom (Patty) and I had to wear stockings (yuck).

Saturday was pretty crazy! I woke up and took a shower, got dressed and went to Open House. The Admissions office had our 2nd Open House of the year. We had around 80 families there! I left there around 10:45 and went straight to meet the parents at Savoies' (cajun resteraunt in town) for our Chi Omega Parent-Daughter Luncheon. We ate jumbalaya and some awards were handed out. After the luncheon, Perry and Patty and I wanted dessert, so we went to Maggie Moo's and got ice cream. After that Dad was off to the Golf course and Mom and I napped and then hit the mall. (We got shoes. I got one pair, Patty got two!)

Next stop was the Make-A-Wish auction for Chi Omega in the Fitness Center. It is one of my all-time favorite things we do. It is a silent auction combined with a live auction and a raffle where 100% of the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish. If you are not familliar with Make-A-Wish, it is a non-profit organization that grants a wish to a chid with a terminal illness. Last year we granted two wishes and are hoping to have done it again. The Kappa Sigma boys grilled out for the event! So, a big thanks to them for that! Also a big thank you to the Kappa Sigma President, Nathan Hamacker, for being our auctioneer!

After dinner, Mary and her Parents' (Dave and Bren) went with my family to Olive St. Bistro downtown. The food was excellent, and we had a really good time.

Sunday Morning Ross and I went to eat at Strawn's with my parents. He had been gone all weekend so they hadn't gotten to see him. Mom and Dad made fun of me at brekfast for the way I was talking. (I was sick and had a really stuffed up nose and sounded a lot like a man.)They left after breakfast. The rest of the day I promised my mom and Ross I would sleep, so I did.

I hope ya'll have a great week!
