Mardi Gras Break!

Hello all!

So, this past week was Mardi Gras break! At Centenary we get the whole week off! I went home to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I was really excited because tons of Centenary friends and alumni (that live there) were all going to be there for the parades, but I got sick. It was a bummer, but I was able to attend a party in Audubon Park and the Orpheous parade on Monday night.

Looking back on the situation I was glad I got sick during a break rather than at school because I always feel guilty having to miss class and meetings for various organizations.

The rest of break after Fat Tuesday was pretty laid back. My sisters and I went to Mass on Wed. to receive our ashes. Thursday, my sister Sarah and I went to get massages and Friday Ross came in town. We went to lunch and ran errands and then went running in Audubon Park. That night we had a big family dinner at home and on Saturday we worked on school work.

Sunday morning was my half marathon! It went really well, I am absolutely so sore today though. Going up and down stairs kills me and even leaning back in a chair hurts. But, it was well worth it. There is a certain fullfillment I get from running that is unlike any other.
