Rev. Betsy Eaves is a native of Tennessee, a graduate of Centenary College, and a member of the first four-year graduating class of the Centenary School of Church Careers. After receiving a B.A. in Christian Education from Centenary in 1978, Betsy served as a Christian Educator in a number of United Methodist Churches in the Memphis and Louisiana Annual Conferences, using her gifts for ministry specifically in youth ministry and children and family ministries. From 1996 to 2002, Betsy served as the director of Shreveport/Bossier Campus Ministry and served as the Shreveport District Missioner in the Louisiana Conference from 1998 to 2002. A certified Spiritual director in the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Betsy has a passion for spiritual formation. Betsy was appointed to Centenary in 2002 as chaplain and Director of the Church Careers Institute. Under her leadership, the program has expanded to the newly designed Christian Leadership Center which incorporates the undergraduate program formerly known as Church Careers, as well as graduate coursework in cooperation with two United Methodist seminaries, continuing education for lay and clergy and a mission component. Betsy has done her seminary work through Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. Betsy is married to Shreveport native Clay Eaves, a local business owner and musician. Betsy and Clay are the parents of two daughters, Emily and Ashley.
Laura Canfield

Laura is a native of south Louisiana, but comes most recently from Plano, Texas. With an MEd in Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Theological Studies from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, as well as years of youth ministry and mission experience, Laura is uniquely qualified to serve as Mission Coordinator. Laura coordinates a Fall and Spring Break mission trip each year, oversee Internship appointments and works with undergraduate CLC recruitment.
Coney DeHart

Coney is a native of Louisiana, a graduate of Louisiana Tech and recently completed his master's of divinity at Asbury Theological School - Orlando. Coney returns to Louisiana with his wife Laralee, stepdaughter Morgan and Audrey amd new baby Harper. Coney works with persons who seek graduate theological coursework. He is the primary contact for the courses offered on our campus through St. Paul School of Theology and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He also works with small group development and Colloquium planning for the CLC undergraduate program.

Holding us all together is our own Laura Vaughan. Laura returns to Shreveport and Centenary College after 21 years in Houston, Texas working in the Day School program at St. Luke's UMC - Houston. A Centenary graduate and endorsed Church Careers alum, Laura brings history and her wonderful cheerful nature to the office. Laura and her husband Benny are also the parents of junior CLC student, Christopher, and Patrick who will be a freshman at Centenary.
