A deacon in The United Methodist Church, Valerie serves as the Director of Professional Discernment. She coordinates programs and career coaching that helps students identify their passions, values, and interests as they explore their professional goals. Specifically within the Christian Leadership Center, Valerie works to prepare undergraduate Christian leaders for the practical and theological challenges facing the church and the world in the 21st Century. Valerie received her B.A. in Religious Studies from Centenary in 2003 and completed her Master of Divinity degree at Candler School of Theology in 2008. Valerie and her husband, Joseph Robideaux of Lifewater Church, have two daughters.

Rev. Betsy Eaves is a native of Tennessee, daughter of a United Methodist pastor, and a member of the first four-year graduating class of the Centenary School of Church Careers. She holds a B.A. in Christian Education from Centenary and a Masters of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL . Betsy has served as a Christian Educator in a number of United Methodist Churches in the Memphis and Louisiana Annual Conferences, the director of Shreveport/Bossier Campus Ministry, and the Shreveport District Missioner in the Louisiana Conference. Serving over ten years as Centenary's Chaplain, Betsy's time at the college has also included Director of Centenary's Christian Leadership Center, formerly the School of Church Careers, Vice President of Student Development, and most recently, Director of Church Relations. A certified Spiritual Director, Betsy has a passion for spiritual formation, gifts assessment and life coaching utilizing tools such as Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, Strengths Finder and Discover Your Spiritual Gifts. Betsy is married to Clay Eaves, talented musician and owner of Signs Now on Jewella Ave. Betsy and Clay are the parents of two adult daughters and grandparents to their first grandchild, giving Betsy her favorite title yet- ­ BeBe!
