A deacon in The United Methodist Church, Valerie works to prepare undergraduate Christian leaders for the practical and theological challenges facing the church and the world in the 21st Century and advises persons seeking graduate theological coursework. Valerie received her B.A. in Religious Studies from Centenary in 2003 and completed her Master of Divinity degree at Candler School of Theology in 2008. Valerie and her husband, Rev. Joseph Robideaux, Associate Pastor of Contemporary Worship at Christ United Methodist Church, have two daughters.

Rev. Betsy Eaves is a native of Tennessee, a graduate of Centenary College, and a member of the first four-year graduating class of the Centenary School of Church Careers. She has a B.A. in Christian Education from Centenary and a Masters of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL . Betsy served as a Christian Educator in a number of United Methodist Churches in the Memphis and Louisiana Annual Conferences, using her gifts for ministry specifically in youth ministry and children and family ministries. From 1996 to 2002, Betsy served as the director of Shreveport/Bossier Campus Ministry and served as the Shreveport District Missioner in the Louisiana Conference from 1998 to 2002. A certified Spiritual director in the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Betsy has a passion for spiritual formation. Betsy was appointed to Centenary in 2002 as chaplain and Director of the Church Careers Institute. Under her leadership, the program expanded to the Christian Leadership Center, which incorporate the undergraduate program formerly known as Church Careers, as well as graduate theological coursework, continuing education for lay and clergy and a mission component. In 2010, President David Rowe appointed Betsy to serve as Vice-President to Student Development while retaining her position as chaplain. Betsy is married to Shreveport native Clay Eaves, a local business owner and musician. Betsy and Clay are the parents of two adult daughters, Emily and Ashley.

Holding us all together is our own Laura Vaughan. A Centenary graduate and endorsed Church Careers alum, Laura brings history and her wonderful cheerful nature to the office. Laura and her husband Benny are also the parents of Christopher and Patrick, a recent graduates of Centenary College. Laura coordinates religious and student life events, Fall and Spring Break mission trips, oversees CLC Internship appointments, and coordinates undergraduate CLC recruitment.
