About the Theological Studies Program

Our Mission

Theological Studies at Centenary College, a United Methodist affiliated liberal arts college, is an ecumenical ministry and research center enhancing theological education and leadership training. This developing program is working to:

  1. provide continuing educational opportunities for lay persons, clergy, and other religious professionals,
  2. maintain a multi-media resource center for theological and archival research, and
  3. provide graduate theological coursework in partnership with accredited seminaries and divinity schools.

We provide continuing educational opportunities for lay persons, clergy and other religious professionals and offer graduate theological coursework in partnership with accredited seminaries and divinity schools.

Our Goals

It is our desire to offer high quality, relevant educational opportunities to strengthen the life and ministry of the local church. We aim to be a state-of-the-art, ecumenical theological research center and to provide graduate theological and continuing education to the ArkLaTex in partnership with seminaries.

Support Theological Studies

There are many ways you can support this ministry. Here are just a few:

  1. Pray for the success of the program.
  2. Encourage pastors and laity at your church to participate in our continuing education opportunities.
  3. Provide funding for new scholarships to support part-time seminary students.
  4. Contribute to the development of a new, theological library.
  5. Participate in the endowment of this new ministry, so that it endures for generations to come.
