Continuing Education at the Christian Leadership Center

In our rapidly changing world, the call to ministry leads us to regularly renew ourselves— professionally and practically, spiritually and intellectually.

The Christian Leadership Center has a foundational goal of being a high quality resource center where both clergy and laity can become equipped to meet the needs of their local church.

We will continue Centenary’s strong partnerships with the United Methodist Foundation and the D. L. Dykes Foundation to provide many diverse continuing education opportunities, bringing the top names in the various fields of theology as well as high quality, practical ministry programs to meet the needs of the local church.

Diverse personalities have visited Centenary College for continuing education events. Biblical scholar John Dominic Crossan and historical Jesus expert Marcus Borg recently gave a series of enlightening lectures. The CLC also hosted a three-part program entitled “21st Century Leadership and Preaching,” featuring a hands-on technology workshop, a public seminar led by progressive theologian Leonard Sweet and a multi-faceted worship seminar.
