Talent-Based Communication Scholarships
Talent-based scholarships are available to students who major in Communication. Below are the 5 application requirements. (Review of applications is ongoing until scholarship funds for the year are exhausted.)
Students must submit a letter detailing reasons for choosing to pursue a Communication major at Centenary College. Letters should be addressed to Dr. Michelle Glaros and sent by email to email or by mail to:

Students must submit a portfolio of recent and relevant communication work such as design, film, writing, public relations, or journalism projects to Dr. Glaros. Portfolios may be mailed or emailed to the addresses above in any digital or physical format. Each portfolio project must be clearly labeled with your name, a title, and an execution date; each project must also be accompanied by a rationale explaining the project's audience and purpose, any relevant constraints, and the tools used to execute the work. Alternatively, you may bring a portfolio of original projects to campus for Dr. Glaros to examine in person.
Students must submit a current resume detailing educational, creative, and work experiences.
Students must submit at least two confidential letters of recommendation from teachers or other professional, adult associates who have experience with and knowledge of their creative work and work ethic. (These may be submitted by email, but must be submitted directly by the recommender.)
Students must arrange for an interview with Dr. Glaros to discuss goals, interests, and the direction of study intended. (Interviews may be arranged via phone or Skype. You may contact Dr. Glaros at 318-869-5264 or via email.)
