Facility Scheduling Policy
New price list in effect as of September 1, 2014.
All Centenary College facilities are owned by the institution
All space is scheduled through Community Services Department at 318.869.5778 or 318.869.5762. Any campus organization wishing to book a venue must use the Events/Facilities Calendar. Non-campus groups wishing to use Centenary College facilities must contact Community Services directly.
Proof of insurance is required for all off-campus organizations using any Centenary facility. A copy of the certificate of insurance and the 501(c)(3) certificate for non-profit groups are required at the time the facility use agreement is signed and the security/cleaning deposit is made. A special event policy is available for those groups without liability insurance through the Community Services office.
A deposit is due at the time the Facility Use Agreement is signed to cover damages and/or cleaning. This deposit is in addition to the Facility Use Fee, and will be refunded after the event provided no damages are incurred.
All scheduling should take place with sufficient notice. Needed facilities, equipment, and food service may not be available on short notice.
Scheduling of facilities for college use takes priority over outside groups. Academic scheduling takes precedence over any other facilities scheduling on campus.
Bynum Commons facilities are scheduled by the Community Services office. Any group or person planning to serve food at a scheduled function must book catering through the Community Services office. All catering will be provided by Sodexo Catering Services, the college’s on-site provider.
The Conference & Events Coordinator schedules the use of residence halls during the summer conference period, except those used to house summer term students, which are scheduled by the Assistant Dean of Students and/or Residence Life.
Brown Memorial Chapel is reserved for weddings on a first come first served basis. There are discounts for current students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Insurance and a deposit are required for all weddings. See our current wedding guide.
The Event/Facility Calendar is posted on the web. An event can be added to the calendar at any time by campus organizations. Event submitters are encouraged to include as many details as possible including but not limited to times, venues, and resources (tables, chairs, microphones, security).
