Centenary DPS Mission
The members of the Centenary College Department of Public Safety are committed to providing a safe environment to the Centenary College Community in order for the college to fulfill its educational mission. We exist in order to respond to the special law enforcement needs particular to a college by working with the college community, using cooperative dialogue, utilizing crime prevention and interdiction methods, and maintaining an adaptive attitude to provide quality service through the activities of a dedicated, educated and responsible group of officers.
In order to accomplish this goal, the DPS employs State Certified Police Officers. The DPS has officers on duty 24 hours a day every day of the year. These officers patrol all areas of campus, including residence halls, Greek Houses, parking lots, and contiguous streets.
