Campus Escort Program
Feel Safe on Campus
The Campus Escort Program was developed to ensure that any student, faculty member, staff member or visitor, that feels uncomfortable about walking across the Centenary College campus for any reason, may contact the Department of Public Safety and they will be subsequently escorted to their requested on campus destination. The Escort Program also includes the fraternity and sorority areas that are considered "off campus". This program does not extend its services to any other off campus locations.
How do I arrange for an escort?
Contact the Centenary College Department of Public Safety at 869-5000 if calling from off campus or simply 5000 if calling from an on campus telephone. Give your full name, current location, final destination, call back telephone number, and the time that the escort is needed.
What is the Escort Program's hours of operation?
The Escort Program operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Between the times of 4:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. a caller will most likely be escorted by one of the Department of Public Safety's competent student employees, than by one of the full time officers. The Student employees are trained to handle various situations and have constant radio communication with the officers should the need arise.
