Green Design > Study Ideas

Interesting new developments include: windows that help reduce heat flow up to 50 percent, fluorescent lamps using one fourth to one fifth the energy of incandescent bulbs, new refrigerators (compared to that of 1970’s) use up to one quarter energy, convention ovens can cut energy use by about 20 percent. Studying the energy use from the past appliances and comparing them to new developments could be a good idea. Although there are new appliances with energy efficient qualities, more energy is being used. This reiterates that the need for a new energy source is critical before all is exploited. (hopefully, Technology tab will cover this).
