About Community Engagement

The Purpose of Community Engagement

The mission of Community Engagement is to integrate service to the greater community with classroom instruction, connection to academic content, and personal reflection. Community Engagement also offers and supports a number of programs for students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the Centenary Community to get involved with service efforts throughout the local and global community.

Goals of Community Engagement

  • To provide Centenary students with an opportunity to make the community their classroom.
  • To transform and expand our students' understanding of their role in the community.
  • To encourage civic engagement and responsibility amongst the Centenary Community.
