2012 Intercultural Photo Contest

The Office of Global Engagement would like to thank everyone that submitted pictures for the Intercultural Photo Contest as well as to those that voted for all of the submissions!

This year's winners were:

Study Abroad Informational: We're Glad You're Here, Now GO AWAY (for 1 semester or 2)!

Ever thought about going to study abroad? Want to know more about our Exchange Programs? The Office of Global Engagement hosted the First Study Abroad Informational providing insight from Financial Aid,the Registrar's office, current students that have gone abroad, and current exchange students.

Cafe' Invasion: International Food Night

Each semester cousine is highlighted representing some of our exchange students home countries. This is a night of food, fun, fellowship and educational presentations from our students.

Spring 2012- Featuring Danish, Irish and French Food
Fall 2011- Featuring Chinese, German and Brazilian Food

May Module Fair

Each fall the Office of Global Engagement staff, along with members of the faculty leading May Modules, coordinate a fair for students to get a preview of the upcoming modules that will be offered for the following summer. Check out the 2011 May Module destinations. Over 150 students attended the Module Fair in October of 2011 and approximately 125 students are registered to attend a May Module during Summer 2012.

May Module & Study Abroad Orientation

Each Spring Intercultural Engagement collaborates with on campus and community offices and resources to coordinate an orientation to better prepare Centenary students for the challenges of traveling and studying abroad.

International Outreach Award

The Centenary College International Outreach Award is presented annually in the spring to graduating seniors who stand out among their peers for their involvement with Centenary's international programs. Click to learn more about this award and the students who've received it.

Cultural Excursions

Each semester the Global Engagement staff plans a weekend trip (duration varies) to a location that's within 1 day's drive of Shreveport. The purpose of the trip is to introduce visiting international students to distinct parts of American culture.
