To protect regular full time College employees from loss of pay while serving on jury duty in a local, state, or federal court.
Leave for Jury Duty with pay shall be approved immediately upon submission by the employee to the unit head of an authentic summons or notice to appear for duty as a juror in a local, state, or federal court. Pay for such service shall be at the employee's regular rate of pay but shall not exceed the total of the employee's regularly scheduled daily pay. Allowances provided to the employee by the court for service shall not be refunded to the College.
Upon return to work, the employee will be required to present proof of jury duty service including dates and times served. Should the employee not be selected for jury and be dismissed, the employee should report to work upon dismissal from service.
