Banner session is slow or freezes. Why?

It is recommended that your computer have at least 512MB of memory/RAM. If you have less and/or are running other applications at the same time as Banner, this may cause problems with Banner. Close the other applications and restart your INB session.

It's possible that another Banner user or job, including yourself if you have multiple Banner sessions open, has a record lock on data displayed in one or more forms. If your session is requesting a lock on the same data, your session will freeze until the other lock is released. If your session is hung for more than one minute, then notify IT and we will end the sessions and release the locks.
