With External Speakers

  • Verify that your sound isn't muted and your volume is up to at least 50%
  • Verify that your speakers are turned up at least half way
  • Make sure your speakers are powered on
  • Disconnect and reconnect your speakers from your PC
  • Make sure your speakers are connected to the green audio jack (example A)
  • Verify your speakers are functioning by connecting them to another source such as a phone or iPod
  • If your sound isn't working and you've completed the above steps follow the steps below

Starting the Windows Audio service

  • Click Start
  • Click Run (you can also open run by pressing the Windows key + R)
  • Type services.msc
  • Locate and select Windows Audio
  • Click Action at the top
  • Click Start
