You are allowed 3 sessions for Banner and 2 for Access.
Your Banner session is counted as one, and if you run a
report in Jobsubmission that counts as a second session.

You will be required to change your password every 90 days.
You can not reuse your password immediately; it has to be different.
Reuse count is 2, which means you have to have 3 passwords that differ
by 3 characters each time you hit your expiration. For instance,
1st pswd is cent#33, next is noway#33, third pswd is cent#678. You can use
these in this 1,2,3 order and keep the same passwords forever.

These management parameters will also be applied to Object
Access reporting. You will be prompted when you try to log into Access to
change your password. And the same parameters as above must be followed.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you normally log into Banner in the morning, but not
work in it all day (leaving it minimized), you will get disconnected
after 90 minutes of no activity. Depending on which form you are on,
this action could put your session in a loop. This means you will
not be able to reconnect from within the database (as explained later),
you will have to do a control-alt-delete and end task to get out of
this loop, then you will have to call me so I can kill your session
in the database.
Idle Time is set for 90 minutes.
If you are on GUAGMNU main menu form when you time out you may get
this error at the bottom of your screen:
FRM-40102: Record must be entered or deleted first. Click OK.

If you are disconnected from the database because your Banner session
has been idle pass 90 minutes. You will receive these errors either
at the bottom of your Banner screen or as a 'pop-up' message:

FRM-40735 POST-FORM trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01012;
ORA-02396 = "exceeded maximum idle time, please connect again"
ORA-01012 = "not logged on"

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE ON SESSION DISCONNECTED:
To reconnect to database on the GUAGMNU form (Main Menu form)
after exceeding idle time
or connect time WITHOUT HAVING TO LOG OUT OF BANNER you can:

Go to your toolbar and click on:
HELP — Technical Support — Reconnect to Database
You should be able to reconnect your session to the database.
