SUMMARY
Assists in administration of the President’s Office, and in preparing correspondence and speech material for the President. Performs research for the collection of information on individuals, corporations, and foundations for the President and for the College’s development efforts. Schedules contacts made by the President and coordinates follow up for these calls with the Vice President for Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists the President’s office with scheduling appointments on prospects/donors when called upon.
Coordinates out of town travel arrangements for the President.
Composes correspondence for the President as needed.
Conducts prospect research on individuals, corporations, and foundations for major promotional programs and special solicitation projects; identifies, develops, and maintains prospective donor files; creates research reports and makes strategy recommendations on prospects.
Composes letters and correspondence related to prospect research and other activities in the President’s office. Assists in writing speech material for the President.
Responsible for seeing that follow-up on all calls are completed.
Identifies and provides prospect/donor information for specific geographical area, depending on areas targeted by the Vice President for Development and the President.
Assist with administrative and communications responsibilities as needed.
Other related projects, duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Arts degree preferred, and or minimum 3
years related experience.
• Excellent writing skills are required.
• Must be people-oriented individual, have good
communication skills, and the ability to work with
a diverse group of people.
• Well organized and self-motivated.
• Computer skills should include word processing,
spreadsheets, email, and database applications.
• Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-
energy, high-traffic area.
