Assistant Professorship in Mathematics
Centenary College of Louisiana Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position starting August 2008. Applicants should have strong teaching skills, an interest in working in a liberal arts environment, and a focus in applied mathematics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field.
Centenary College is a selective liberal arts institution with a student/faculty ratio of 12 to 1 and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South. It has a $120 million endowment and is located in a metropolitan area with a population of more than 350,000. Individual attention is a core value of the college; accordingly, faculty are asked to work closely with students in both teaching and research.
