Assistant Professor of European History
Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a tenure-track opening at the assistant professor level beginning Fall 2009. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory courses in European and world history, advanced courses in European history, and, in future, FYE, an introductory interdisciplinary course required of all first-year students. The Ph.D., strong teaching skills, and a commitment to scholarship are required. Centenary College is a selective liberal arts institution with a student/faculty ratio of 12 to 1 and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South. The oldest chartered college west of the Mississippi, Centenary has an endowment in excess of $120 million and is located in a metropolitan area of 350,000.
