Dear Students:

Each spring, qualified students are selected to serve as Maroon Jackets for the upcoming academic year. The Maroon Jackets have been a part of the Centenary tradition since 1931. To provide you with information about this organization, linked is a brief history of the Maroon Jackets.

If you are a full time student entering your final year of study at Centenary and have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA, you are eligible for consideration for selection into this organization. In addition to the classification and grade point criteria, selection is made based on leadership, service and involvement in campus life.

If you wish to be considered for selection into the Maroon Jackets for the 2009-2010 academic year, forms are available from Dennis Taylor in the Office of Career Services. Please complete the information form and return it to Dennis by 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2009.

Selections will be made by the current Maroon Jackets prior to Honors Convocation on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at which time, the names of the new members will be announced.
