Group Fitness

Centenary Fitness Classes offer a great workout and a chance to interact with your peers in a healthy, fun-filled environment. Whether you are looking for a morning, mid-day, or evening workout, the Fitness Center has the class for you.

The following classes are free for all Centenary students and faculty/staff, and Centenary Fitness Center members. Daily guests are welcomed to join as well.

Monday:

12:00-1:00pm: Pilates
Core conditioning focusing primarily on strengthening the back and abdominal muscles.

5:30-6:30pm: Spin/Abs
Jump on one of our bikes and start peddling! Our certified instructor will lead you through a challenging series of courses to maximize your caloric burn.

5:30-6:30pm: Yoga
For those who have never tried yoga before as well as more seasoned participants. Beginners will be introduced to the basic principles of yoga and begin to strengthen the mind and body. More advanced participants will also find a great strengthening workout with instructor led modifications.

6:30-7:30pm: Pilates

Tuesday:

For those who have never tried yoga before as well as more seasoned participants. Beginners will be introduced to the basic principles of yoga and begin to strengthen the mind and body. More advanced participants will also find a great strengthening workout with instructor led modifications.

5:15-6:15pm: Zumba®
Features exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy, effective and totally exhilarating!

5:30-6:30pm: TRX Class
Suspension training is the original, best-in-class workout that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. Great for all levels.

8:00-9:00am: Body Shaping
Designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system, tone muscles, and boost balance, flexibility, endurance and speed. A nutritional component will also be part of the class to combine meal management and fitness for an overall lifestyle class meant to shape your body the way you want.
