NRHH Awards
Of the Months
SWACURH is the Southwest Affiliate of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). SWACURH includes schools from Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Mexico. Every month, "OTMs" or "Of the Month" Awards are given out for 13 different categories, recognizing outstanding student involvement and leadership, along with programs that have made an impact on each campus. The members of NRHH (the National Residence Hall Honorary) are often the ones to write the nominations each month, however, some are written by other student leaders and even advisors on campus.
The 13 categories are:
- Student of the Month
- First Year Student of the Month
- Advisor of the Month
- Executive Board Member of the Month
- Faculty Member of the Month
- RA of the Month
- Community of the Month
- Organization of the Month
- "Spotlight" of the Month
- Social Program of the Month
- Educational Program of the Month
- Diversity Program of the Month
- Community Service Program of the Month
These awards go to more than just those participating in various Residence Life activities. Anyone who has impacted the campus in some way can be nominated for these awards. Each month, Centenary selects deserving individuals, programs, and organizations as our campus winners. All schools submit their campus winners to be considered as Regional winners. Representatives from all over the region vote for OTMs and those with the most votes are Regional winners. These regional winners go on to compete Nationally.

Regional Bids
In addition to monthly OTMs, SWACURH provides Centenary with the opportunity to write bids for regional awards recognizing year long efforts by students, staff, and organizations on our campus. These bids are anywhere between 8 and 30 pages long, and are presented at two of the annual conferences: SWACURH, and the No Frills business conference. Just like with OTMs, regionally winning bids then go on to compete on the national level.
