Cotton Barnes, Shreveport, La., was recently featured as Resident of the Month in the Azalea Estates Assisted Living and Retirement Community’s Azalea Spirit newsletter and on Rick Rowe’s Notebook feature on KTBS-TV. Cotton attended Centenary on an athletic scholarship and played both running back and quarterback for the Gents. He was part of a stellar backfield that included Hall of Famer Weenie Bynum. He was also an outstanding pitcher for the baseball team. In March 1997, Cotton was inducted into the Centenary Athletic Hall of Fame.
1947
Willard Cooper, Costa Rica, and his wife, Phyllis, moved to the mountains of Costa Rica and are living with their daughter and son-in-law, Arden and David. Prior to that, they lived in Maine. They would love to hear from friends and former students! E-mail
