Arthur Roger first opened his gallery on Magazine Street in the Garden District of New Orleans in 1978 at a time when the artistic scene in the city was beginning to burgeon. The Gallery, as it has become known, moved quickly to the forefront of galleries in the city and attracted a number of New Orleans' most prominent artists including Robert Gordy and Ida Kohlmeyer. Today, the Arthur Roger Gallery is located in the historic Warehouse District in downtown New Orleans and boasts an outstanding stable of artists including Troy Dugas and Michael Willmon, Louisiana artists whose works are included in this exhibition.
