Uniquely Louisiana: Collectors, Curators, and Artists is the focus of the 2009-2010 season at the Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College of Louisiana. On view for the general public are some of Louisiana’s most superb collections and artworks by a number of Louisiana’s finest contemporary artists currently producing in studios above and below the I-10 corridor. Loaned to the museum by private collectors in Louisiana and from Louisiana galleries that represent the most recent trends in the visual arts in the state, the exhibition schedule will be of interest to members of the general regional public as well as to serious collectors and working artists. The calendar of events developed in tandem with this year’s slate of exhibitions features curatorial lectures, gallery talks, Artist’s Circle programs, and more. All Meadows Museum of Art exhibitions and programs are presented free-of-charge to the public-at-large.
