Cathy DeRousse earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, respectively. She teaches piano and music theory and serves as staff accompanist at Centenary College of Louisiana. She is also a member of Baroque Artists of Shreveport and is active as an adjudicator for piano festivals and competitions and as a clinician for church organists and pianists.
Mrs. DeRousse has served churches in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New York. Her published compositions include works for piano, organ, handbells, violin, and choir. She and her husband Paul, a minister of music, have three grown sons and four grandchildren.
