Final Assisted Book Donation Day is Aug. 9 for Upcoming Centenary Book Bazaar

SHREVEPORT, LA—The Centenary Muses will hold their final drive-up book donation day this year on Monday, Aug. 9 for the Centenary College Book Bazaar. Volunteers will be available from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at Book Bazaar headquarters, Suite 108 of the Centenary Square Building on Kings Highway.

Volunteers will assist donors with their contributions of books, CDs, DVDs, tapes and videos to be sold at the Sept. 10-11 Book Bazaar in the Centenary Gold Dome. The annual event, which draws thousands of shoppers, benefits student projects at Centenary.

The Muses are seeking old and new books in both hardback and paperback, except for magazines and condensed books, which are not solicited.

The donation site is on the east edge of the Centenary campus, across the street from George’s Grill. Those wishing to donate books at other times can leave their books in the waterproof bins that are outside the Book Bazaar office, organizers said.

If a book collection is too large to fit into the trunk of a car, the Centenary Muses can arrange for pick-up. Donors with large collections can call the Book House at 219-3409 to make arrangements.

Each year the Book Bazaar offers some 30,000 books at bargain prices. This year's event is the 18th annual sale. For further information, contact Amy Gigilio at 318-869-5136.
