Centenary Graduate Justin Breitschopf Earns Opportunity as White House, Ways & Means Intern
SHREVEPORT, LA — Justin Breitschopf of Bossier City, La., a May graduate of Centenary College, has just completed an internship at The White House and in January will begin an internship with the subcommittee on Social Security within the Committee on Ways and Means.
Until Dec. 10, Breitschopf worked in the Office of Public Liaison, planning White House briefings, meetings and large events with the president, vice president and other White House staff. He also helped coordinate national, state and local activities on behalf of presidential initiatives.
Along with other interns, Breitschopf had a unique opportunity to learn how the federal government functions, to observe government officials and to gain practical knowledge about the daily operations of The White House.
After graduating with a B.S. in business administration, Breitschopf
worked as the North Louisiana regional field director for the Victory
'04 (Bush) Campaign. Breitschopf’s involvement in other political
activities include his serving in a U.S. House of Representatives congressional
internship in 2002 under Congressman Jim McCrery, and volunteering in
several Republican Party support efforts.
